Well, I had no idea if there was going to be 3 or 30! So I erred on the side of caution! The room upstairs is booked in future and is massive in comparison.
Yes I did indeed: very nice to have a chat with a real person for a change, rather than frantically googling! All down to using an Application Controller class apparently.. !
We used to have a small Cocoaheads group over here. Worth reviving? Maybe see if we can get a small group together? I’m sure programming topics are a bit top-heavy for NiMUG?
I think you’re probably right that most NiMUGgers wouldn’t find chatting about Cocoa that enjoyable. However, perhaps an introductory “show and tell” on the options for writing applications for Mac would be interesting. For example:
* Using Automator
* Using AppleScript
* Using Perl/Python/Script-based languages..
* Xcode 3
I’m not sure the bandwidth we have available would permit that (though a router reboot wouldn’t hurt.)
Maybe Audio and some stills sent via webcam is worth investigating?
The next meeting may be Fri 21st December but this date doesn’t suit me (I had, of course, forgotten about Xmas). Are there any dates which really motivate people?

I’ll work on that. I certainly have a big list of things to consider for the next meeting.

Hope the meeting went well.
A Friday night in Belfast is never really going to be an option for me, so is there any merit in considering an iChat AV?

Almost any night suits me except the first Tuesday each month
