	Sounds like your hosts file has been hit. It’s a small text file that contains some manual associations. If you know what you are doing, you can drop into a terminal and try edittng it with something like nano. (sudo nano /etc/hosts)

	Mine rattled for a while, then I put masking tape on the back of the SIM because it was saying “No Sim”, that worked for a week then the SIM card finally died. My new SIM doesn’t rattle.

	mobile me accounts are no better or worse for spam - my gmail account attracts loads - it all depends on your spam settings, I very rarely get any spam nowadays, and very little false positives.

	You are getting into Gutenprint (http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php) areas there. I once had an OKI at work but I never got it to work with OSX (Gutenprint included) good luck

	http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Book_Encyclopedia “Until recently was bundled with OSX.” So they obv. don’t do it anymore, as for moving it, If it is a self contained app (and there is no reason to think otherwise) copying it should work. You might even be able to install it from the tiger OS restore disks.

	Could be a spotlight indexing problem, maybe. Also, it could be a partition map format issue, as the disk comes from PPC generation machines it will be Apple Partition Map, where Intel machines ship with GUID partitioning schemes. Not so sure it should have an effect on access times, but it might.
